MEDIchair CHATS is owned and operated by CHATS (Community & Home Assistance to Seniors), a not-for-profit organization that supports the health and wellness of seniors and caregivers at home and in the community.
Launched in 1980, CHATS now supports more than 6,800 York Region, Bradford West Gwillimbury and New Tecumseth seniors and caregivers each year, through a full range of services such as in-home help and care, Meals on Wheels, transportation, wellness/social programs, and much more.

This unique partnership was launched in May 2008 with the opening of the Newmarket store, and since that time has opened locations in Richmond Hill and Bradford. Susan Tarrant is the Business Manager for all locations.
We are a licensed Medical Device Establishment and an authorized vendor for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). We also work closely with many insurance companies, school boards and therapists.
MEDIchair CHATS provides sales, service and rentals of home medical equipment and offers a superior level of maintenance in Long Term Care facilities, private homes, retirement and seniors living centres. Visit our large showroom at 1-105 Harry Walker Pkwy N, Newmarket where you will discover a comprehensive selection of lift chairs, scooters, walkers, wheelchairs, bathroom safety products and many aids for daily living. We carry a selection of porch lifts, vehicle lifts and stairlifts and provide installation and follow up service.
